2. Step-by-step test registration guide

Follow this step-by-step walkthrough to successfully book your official exam seat online:

1. Create official account: Visit the official Prometric/CELPIP portal at celpip.ca and register an account using your legal name exactly as printed on your ID.
2. Select test type & purpose: Choose CELPIP General (for Canadian PR, Express Entry, or Australian Visas). Do not choose CELPIP General LS unless you are strictly applying for Canadian Citizenship.
3. Choose location & date: Select your country, city, and preferred test center. Pick an available test date and time slot.
4. Payment & confirmation: Pay securely using a major credit/debit card. Receive instant email confirmation and test registration ticket.

3. Rescheduling & cancellation rules

Need to change your test date? CELPIP provides flexible rescheduling options depending on how far in advance you submit your request:

• 7+ days before test: A transfer (first one free, then ~$50 CAD + tax) allows you to choose a new test date or location.
• Less than 7 days: Cancellations or transfers are generally non-refundable unless accompanied by a verified medical certificate.
