This is the list as published on celpip.ca when we last checked (October 2026). Centres in smaller cities sometimes have no open dates for weeks, so check availability before you plan travel. Lagos and Abuja usually have the most sessions.
CELPIP fee in Nigeria
CELPIP General costs about ₦229,000 at Nigerian centres. The Naira price has moved during 2026 (it was reported around ₦213,000 earlier in the year), so the amount shown on celpip.ca at checkout is the one that counts.
Payment tip:you pay online by card. Some Nigerian bank cards have limits on international or online payments, so confirm your card's limit before you start booking.
How to register for CELPIP in Nigeria
- Create an account on celpip.ca using your name exactly as it appears on your international passport.
- Choose CELPIP General. General LS is only for Canadian citizenship, not PR.
- Select Nigeria, then your city and an available date.
- Pay the fee online by card and save your confirmation email.
- On test day, bring the same passport you registered with and arrive about 30 minutes early.

Is CELPIP accepted for Canada PR from Nigeria?
Yes. CELPIP General is one of the English tests IRCC accepts for Express Entry and most other permanent residence programs. A score report from a Nigerian centre is treated exactly like one from Canada.
Can I use CELPIP from Nigeria for Australia?
Yes. Since 7 August 2025, Australia's Department of Home Affairs accepts CELPIP General taken in person at any test centre, including centres in Nigeria. CELPIP Online is not accepted for Australia.
Is CELPIP easier than IELTS for Nigerians?
Many Nigerian candidates find it easier to plan for: everything is done on one computer in one sitting, speaking is recorded instead of a live interview, and the topics are everyday situations. The Canadian accents in Listening take a few weeks of practice to get used to.
