CELPIP 30-Day Study Plan

A structured, day-by-day roadmap designed for busy professionals to maximize their CLB score in exactly one month.

1. Who This Plan Is For

This plan is heavily optimized for candidates who already have an intermediate-to-advanced grasp of English (CLB 6 to 7) and need a highly structured, strategic push to achieve a CLB 9 or higher for Canadian PR. It assumes you can commit to 45 minutes of daily practice and a 3-hour session on weekends.

1

Week 1: Diagnosis & Format

Your goal this week is not to get high scores. Your goal is to map the territory. You must learn the exact format of the 8 Speaking tasks and 2 Writing tasks, and identify your weakest skill.

Day 1Take a full, 3-hour diagnostic mock exam. Note which sections you ran out of time on.
Day 2-3Study the Speaking Task formats (Tasks 1 through 8). Memorize the expected structure for Giving Advice vs Expressing an Opinion.
Day 4-5Study the Writing Task formats. Create your own personal email templates (greetings, sign-offs).
WkndRest, or gently review the grammar mistakes from your Day 1 diagnostic exam.
2

Week 2: Build Skill Foundations

Now that you know the format, we practice isolated skills. Do not do full mock exams this week.

Day 8-9Output Practice: Write 3 emails (Writing Task 1) and record 5 Speaking Tasks. Put them through an AI evaluator and fix your recurring grammar errors.
Day 10-11Input Practice: Do 4 isolated Reading passages. Focus exclusively on "skimming and scanning" for keywords rather than reading every word.
Day 12Do 4 isolated Listening passages. Practice taking shorthand notes while listening.
WkndTake Full Mock Exam #2. Compare your score to Week 1.
3

Week 3: Full Task Sets

This week is about endurance. You will practice entire sections in one sitting.

Day 15Complete an entire Speaking Section (Tasks 1-8) back-to-back without pausing.
Day 16Complete an entire Writing Section (Task 1 & 2) in exactly 53 minutes.
Day 17-19Alternate between full Reading and Listening sections. Strictly enforce time limits.
WkndTake Full Mock Exam #3. Focus heavily on managing your fatigue.
4

Week 4: Final Review

Do not learn new material this week. Taper down your study hours to avoid burnout before the big day.

Day 22-24Review your mistake journal. Re-read all your AI feedback from the last 3 weeks.
Day 25Light Speaking practice (2-3 prompts) just to keep your vocal cords warm.
Day 26Total rest. Do not look at a single CELPIP question.
Day 27TEST DAY.

6. Your Daily Checklist

  • Did I record my speaking answers and listen to them back?
  • Did I run my writing practice through an AI evaluator to catch grammar errors?
  • Did I strictly adhere to the time limit, or did I cheat and pause the timer?
  • Did I note down exactly why I got a reading/listening question wrong?
