CLB Runner

Three lanes, one right answer. How far can you run?

Choose your track

Run into the right answer

Three gates, one is correct. Swipe or tap to switch lanes before the gate reaches you. Lose all three hearts and the run ends, but every 8 in a row wins a heart back. The road never ends.

Swipe or tap a lane

How to play CLB Runner

  1. Pick a track: Mixed, a single grammar area, or CLB 9 vocabulary.
  2. Read the sentence at the top. Three gates run toward you, each with a possible answer.
  3. Switch lanes with the arrow keys, A/D, or by tapping a lane. Be in the right lane when the gate arrives.
  4. A wrong gate costs a heart and shows the rule. Lose all three hearts and the run ends.
  5. Get 8 in a row to win a lost heart back. There is no finish line, so a strong run can go on forever.
  6. Every correct gate speeds you up, and streaks of three or more earn bonus metres.

Why speed matters on CELPIP

Prepositions, collocations and idioms are memorised, not worked out. On test day you have no time to think “is it complain about or complain for?” mid-sentence. Answering at running speed builds the automatic recall that keeps your Speaking fluent and your Writing accurate, two things CELPIP raters reward at CLB 9 and above.
