Collocations for Food & Nutrition
Master the natural verb-noun and adjective-noun combinations regarding food & nutrition.
Welcome to the Essential Collocations module for Food & Nutrition.
Food is universal, which means it appears everywhere on the CELPIP test. You may need to describe a disastrous dinner at a restaurant (Speaking Task 2), write an email complaining about poor catering (Writing Task 1), or listen to a podcast about healthy diets (Listening Part 4).
To score a CLB 9+, you cannot use basic words like "the food was good" or "I ate a lot." You must sound like a professional food critic or a registered dietitian.
🤝 1. Verb + Noun Collocations
Do not translate verbs directly from your native language. Memorize these specific verb-noun pairs.
