Subject: Get Ready for Our Annual Community Garden Cleanup & Planting Day!

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

It's that time of year again – our beloved Willow Creek Community Garden needs our collective care and green thumbs. Our Annual Community Garden Cleanup & Planting Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 18th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We'll be focusing on clearing out winter debris, preparing the soil for summer vegetables, and planting a new batch of native wildflowers to attract pollinators.

We've already secured a donation of topsoil and compost from Green Earth Supplies, and the City Parks Department is providing us with some new gardening tools, including a fantastic new rototiller, which will save us a lot of manual labor this year. However, we still need volunteers to bring their own smaller hand tools like trowels, pruning shears, and gloves. Also, if you have any spare seeds or seedlings you'd like to contribute, especially herbs or drought-resistant plants, please bring them along!

Lunch will be provided, courtesy of "The Daily Grind" coffee shop, who are generously donating sandwiches and refreshments. We'll also have a water station, but please bring your own reusable water bottle to help us reduce waste. For those with children, we'll have a supervised kids' corner with nature-themed activities, so feel free to bring the whole family!

To help us with planning and ensure we have enough food and supplies, please RSVP by Friday, May 10th, by replying to this email. In your RSVP, kindly indicate if you have any dietary restrictions or if you'll be bringing children.
