Subject: Urgent Request: Temporary Accessible Parking Accommodation - Unit 7B
Date: October 26, 2023
Dear Parkview Residences Management,
I am writing to request a temporary accessible parking accommodation due to a recent, unexpected injury. My name is Liam O'Sullivan, and I reside in Unit 7B. I recently sustained a significant ankle injury, resulting in a fractured fibula that requires me to use crutches and severely limits my mobility for the foreseeable future.
My doctor has advised me that I will need to avoid putting weight on my left leg for at least 6-8 weeks, starting from October 24th, 2023. This makes walking from my standard underground parking spot (P3, Spot 112) to the elevator, and then to my unit, incredibly challenging and painful. The distance, coupled with the need to navigate ramps and a slight incline, is proving to be a major obstacle, especially when carrying groceries or other necessities.
I would be extremely grateful if it were possible to arrange a temporary accessible parking spot, preferably on P1 or P2, closer to the main elevators. Even a spot that allows for easier access, perhaps near the entrance to the building, would be immensely helpful. I understand that accessible spots are limited and usually reserved, but this is a temporary and urgent need. I have attached a doctor's note confirming my injury and the duration of my reduced mobility.
I anticipate needing this accommodation for approximately two months, potentially until late December 2023, depending on my recovery progress. I am happy to provide any further documentation required. Please let me know what steps I need to take or what options might be available. My primary concern is ensuring I can safely and comfortably access my home during this recovery period.
Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Liam O'Sullivan
