Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all having a fantastic fall!

It's that time of year again – time to start planning our much-loved annual Neighbourhood Block Party! Last year's event was a huge success, thanks to all your wonderful contributions, and we're aiming to make this year's even better.

We're holding an initial planning meeting to discuss potential dates, activities, and volunteer roles. Your ideas and participation are crucial to making this event enjoyable for everyone.

Meeting Details:

• Date: Thursday, November 9th
• Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
• Location: Community Centre, Room 3A (Please note: this is a change from our usual meeting spot, which is currently undergoing renovations.)

During the meeting, we'll primarily focus on:

• Setting the Date: We're considering two main weekends in June: June 8th/9th or June 22nd/23rd. We need to finalize this soon to book the park and any entertainment.
• Volunteer Roles: We'll need help with various tasks, including setup/teardown, food coordination, children's activities, and promotion. No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm!
• Activity Ideas: Bring your creative suggestions! Last year's bouncy castle and live music were big hits.

If you can't make the meeting but still want to contribute, please reply to this email by November 7th with your availability for the proposed June dates and any ideas you might have. We particularly need someone to take the lead on securing a local band this year, as our previous contact has moved away.
