Hi everyone,
Hope you're all having a great week! I'm writing to provide an update and call for more volunteers for our upcoming Charity Bake Sale, scheduled for Saturday, November 18th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Maplewood Community Centre. As you know, all proceeds will go directly to the local animal shelter, "Paws & Claws Haven," to support their incredible work.
We've had a fantastic response so far, with many of you offering to bake, but we still have some crucial roles to fill to ensure everything runs smoothly. We particularly need help with setup and takedown, which involves arranging tables, decorating, and then packing everything away afterwards. This is physically demanding but super important! Also, we need more cashiers for the sales tables, especially during the peak lunch hours (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM). Experience with handling money and basic math skills would be a huge plus here.
Additionally, we're looking for someone to manage the 'Guess the Number of Candies' jar, a fun activity to engage kids. This role requires someone friendly and organized to collect entries and announce the winner at 2:30 PM. Lastly, we need a few people to help with refreshments for volunteers, ensuring everyone stays hydrated and energized throughout the day. This involves setting up a small station with water, juice, and light snacks.
If you're able to help with any of these roles, please reply to this email by November 5th, indicating your preferred task and availability. Even if you can only spare an hour or two, every bit helps! We'll send out a final schedule and detailed instructions by November 10th.

Thanks for the update on the bake sale! It sounds like it's going to be a fantastic event for Paws & Claws Haven.
I'd definitely like to help out. I saw your request for more hands, and I'm happy to offer my time. I'm quite good with numbers and have some experience handling transactions, so I'd be glad to take on a role, particularly during the hours you mentioned.
I also have a bit of a knack for organizing and I enjoy interacting with children, so if there's still a need, I could also assist with the activity. I understand that the winner announcement is scheduled for .
